Data Deletion Instructions

This page explains how to request deletion of your data from Bidayah, including data we receive from WhatsApp, Messenger and Instagram. See also our Privacy Policy.

1. If you are a merchant on Bidayah

  1. To delete your account and all its data yourself: in the dashboard open Settings, press Delete Account and type the word delete to confirm. Your account is closed immediately and your connected WhatsApp, Facebook and Instagram accounts are disconnected, so we receive no new messages. We keep your records for up to 12 months, with restricted access, only to prevent fraud, resolve disputes and meet legal obligations, and then delete them.
  2. To stop receiving data from one channel only: in the dashboard open Channels and press Disconnect on the WhatsApp number, Facebook Page or Instagram account.
  3. To delete part of your data without deleting the account (for example certain conversations or contacts): email [email protected] from the email registered on your account with the subject "Data deletion request", and say what you want deleted.

2. If you messaged a business that uses Bidayah (on WhatsApp, Messenger or Instagram)

Email [email protected] with the subject "Data deletion request" and include:

  • The platform you used (WhatsApp, Messenger or Instagram).
  • Your WhatsApp number, or your Messenger or Instagram account name.
  • The name of the business you messaged, if you know it.

We may ask you to confirm that the account is yours before deleting.

3. Remove Bidayah from your Facebook or Instagram account

  • Facebook: Settings & privacy → Settings → Business integrations → Bidayah → Remove.
  • Instagram: Settings → Website permissions → Apps and websites → Bidayah → Remove.

After removal we can no longer receive new data from that account.

4. What happens after your request

  • We confirm your request by email and immediately stop using the requested data.
  • We keep records for up to 12 months, with restricted access, only to prevent fraud, resolve disputes and meet legal obligations, and then delete them permanently.
  • Records the law requires us to keep longer (such as financial records and wallet invoices) and records needed for an open investigation are kept until that period ends or the investigation is closed.
